Dear Parents and Guardians, Coaches, Managers and Committee members.

We wanted to update you on an important change within our Bromley FC Youth Setup.

After an amazing 7 years running the BFCY girls section, Claire Bennett will be stepping down from her role as Head of Girls.

Claire has been the key individual in the growth and development of our Girls’ Section in recent years, volunteering immense weekly hours, her commitment and passion have played a huge part in shaping the positive environment our female players enjoy today. We’re incredibly grateful for all that she’s contributed, and we’re pleased to share that Claire will still be involved with Bromley FC Youth in a more informal capacity going forward.

We’re also pleased to confirm that Andrea Ellis will be stepping into the Head of Girls role for the 2025/26 season. Many of you will already know Andrea through her role at the Bromley FC Community Trust, and she will now be the main point of contact for all matters relating to the Girls’ Youth Section.

Going forward, the new contact email for Girls’ Section queries will be girls@bromleyfc.org

Claire has commented:

“It has been a pleasure to be part of the girls youth teams for the last 7 years. I feel that for me, it is the right time to step down from the Head of Girls role.

I would like to say a massive thank you for all the support I have had from the wonderful girl’s teams coaches / manager’s, committee members , parents and players over the years as I would not have been able to fulfil my role without all your support.

It has been wonderful seeing the players develop through the years both on and off the pitch.

Even though I will be stepping away from this role , I will still be part of Bromley FC so you will still see me around the club. "

As a committee we cannot thank Claire enough for all of her hard work, dedication and personal sacrifice she has made to ensure that girls in our community have a place to learn and develop their football talents in a safe, fun and friendly environment.

We welcome Andrea into the Youth fold with confidence that she can continue the good work that Claire has done.
